I know one cannot please all the people all the time, but....... The much criticised "humps" in Green Lane have now been expensivly "modified", to meet the popular demand. Just to remind ourselves, they were to originally higher, to slow traffic, following the death of a male pedestrian, one Christmas Eve, some years ago. So who thought it prudent to eliminate the humps outside the Farthings public house, where surely that was where one was most needed? Why didnt someone from the Parish Council monitor proceedings? The goings on in Castle Bromwich is our elected representives responsibility....isnt it?

Why do we need them ion the first place----If we had appropriate visible PCSO and police presence then they should not have been inserted

I agree with Rob. Speed bumps affect everybody not just the morons who won't keep within the speed limit. In addition the original speed bumps in Green Lane were lethal and I for one avoided them by going along West Avenue. No doubt the residents of West Avenue were not too pleased with the increase of traffic down their narrow avenue. Now the Green Lane bumps are more driver friendly I use Green Lane again. It's about time Solihull MBC modified the bumps in Auckland Drive now, they're just as bad, and there are some in Marston Green too.

I see Solihull MBC is now proposing to install cushion type speed bumps along Lanchester Way next.
Residents in that part of Chelmsley Wood won't be able to leave their homes without meeting the dreaded bumps now.
