Want to make a difference? Make new friends? Learn new skills? Why not come along and get involved with the Castle Bromwich Youth & Community Partnership? The partnership is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Castle Bromwich or who is affiliated with one of its community groups. Our next meeting is 3.30pm Thursday July 2nd at Park Hall School. The partnership aims to develop active citizens who listen to the community, improve and develop relationships between differing generations, fundraise for community projects which it will then undertake and whilst doing all this have fun. We have recently worked in conjunction with the Solihull Volunteers Managers Forum to organise a local awards ceremony at Arden Hall where local volunteers were thanked for their contribution to the community and awreness raised as to just how much local residents contribute to the locality. At our next meeting we will be furthering our plans for the community festival that will take place on Saturday September 12th at Lanchester Park. Plans include an It's a Knockout contest, climbing wall, bucking broncho, 7 a side football and other fete type attractions. Why not come along and join us? Please help us to build the community spirit in Castle Bromwich. | |
