I see that our prospective Conservative candidate, Gail Sleigh, has published her news letter, propping up her vitues for being our representative on SMBC. What is the flag waving for, in informing me, that SMBC have given, £45,429 to that white elephant tourist attraction, Castle Bromwich Hall and Gardens? That represents a full years community charge for 35 Band D tax payers. Almost the entire road I live in !!! The Gardens are a business. I have to pay to enter, a sum of £4.00. I gain nothing, and the SMBC pay to keep afloat a torpedoed sinking wreck. It has not been solvent for years. Finance for this project, should NOT come from me, or any other SMBC tax payer. Let the Heritage fund pay, or the National Lottery. | |

Furthermore, in her Newsletter, Gail Sleigh claims to have worked as part of the Castle Bromwich Conservative team for a number of years. When was she elected to represent Castle Bromwich? She also claims to have met many Castle Bromwich residents at Councillor's surgeries. Aren't councillor's surgeries for elected Councillors? Has anybody taken part in the surveys she claims to have undertaken during the last 2 years? If she is elected tomorrow I look forward to her being able to represent me as an elected member of the Castle Bromwich team. Particulalry I look forward to seeing her making a marked improvement to the grafitti, litter & dog fouling problem we suffer from in Castle Bromwich. | |
