Let's have a straw poll on whether or not you receive a copy of the Solihull News through you letter box each week. We haven't received one for years on Bradford Road. I get mine second hand from my daughter who lives on Water Orton Road most weeks. We could miss out in any important notices published in the paper. Do you get one in your road?

We live on the Chester Road in the Village, commonly known as the Old Chester Road, and don't receive the Solihull News. Neither do we receive the Gazette and we only occasionally receive the Echo.

We do get the The Gazette & Echo so we fare better than you Boss. I used to help my granddaughter 3-4 years ago to deliver the Gazette. Our round included the Old Chester Road from the Bradford Arms to the junction with Beechcroft Road and my neighbour's daughter did the rest of Old Chester Road. I can only assume The Gazette are short of someone to deliver in your area Boss. I did take it up with the Solihull News some time ago and they told me they had no plans to print more copies. I believe we in the far northern outpost of the Borough are too far away from Solihull to receive things the rest of Solihull MBC residents get. It's not cost effective to treat us all the same I remember a few years ago when the new litter clearing contract service started. I noticed that only the north side of Bradford Road was being cleared of litter. I went out to speak to one of the guys and he told me they had been told only to clean the north side of road as the other side was in Birmingham. It took me several e-mails before someone told them both sides were in Solihull. That sums it up for me.
