I've recently seen scaffolding around Castle Bromwich Hall. Does anyone know what's happening here or if the hall has been sold?

Having 'googled' the hall I found an organisation called The Crown College requesting donations to buy it and convert it to a Christian Heritage Centre. Apart from this I've found no other info.

This was the latest news I heard about the future of Castle Bromwich Hall. I don't know if it's still current or if it's changed since then.

Thanks, I also found that article but understand the hall went back up for sale throughout 2009.  The interest from the Christian Heritage Centre appeared in the Telegraph earlier this year and their american website is currently requesting donations.

Whatever work is being carried out at the moment at Castle Bromwich Hall there is nothing whatsoever in the Solihull MBC Planning website referring to it. That's assuming the planning website is up to date of course.

As a Grade I listed building I thought planning permission was required to do anything to it.

The last recorded submission to the planning office was in 2002 for the erection of signs, which was refused.

A planning application has recently been received by Solihull MBC to convert the hall into a hotel:-
