It's a Knockout _ Enter Your Team Now!

Posted on July 3, 2009 at 4:42 PM

As part of the Castle Bromwich Community Festival due to take place on September 12th, Castle Bromwich Youth & Community Partnership is organising an "It's a Knockout" contest. The aim of the event is to get the whole community out having fun together and to raise money to fund future community projects and activities by the Partnership. Many will remember the tv programmes from the 70s and 80s, well, now's your chance to take part and have fun. It's free to enter a team, but teams are asked to raise sponsorship with a prize being available for the team that raises the most.

It's a knockout is:-

  • an inclusive event that allows the whole community to have fun together
  • run by a professional company
  • made up of teams of 10 people
  • suitable for anybody over 1m tall and in reasonable health
  • a great spectator event
  • free to enter

Information, entry and sponsorship forms can be downloaded HERE. There are also some great sponsorship deals available - for more information contact inspirationalley@castlebromwich.net

Other events available on the day will be 7 a side football, climbing wall and bucking broncho. Further details to follow shortly.

Go on... get involved and have fun!

Now that is community building at the grass roots level. I do sincerly hope we can expect to see promotion from the Parish Council. I do hope all the Health and Safety criteria have been met.

We're taking all the relevent advice about health & safety and complying with it. We are liaising with the Police, Fire Service, St John's Ambulance etc. Have done a risk assessment and have all the relevent insurance. Everything will be well supervised but there's still plenty of scope for everybody to hve lots of fun.

Welcome
